The Vision Fund.

Dear Brookswood Family,

As I look back over 2025, I am genuinely excited by what I’m seeing at Brookswood. God is on the move. Your faithfulness, your generosity, your commitment to leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus—it’s making a real difference.

So as we head into 2026, I’m excited to announce our 2025/26 Vision Fund. The Vision Fund is our year-end giving campaign—above and beyond our regular tithes and offerings—where we create a culture of generosity in our church and transform lives and communities in the name of Jesus.

Why We Do This

We want to be generous like Jesus and experience the joy of making a real difference in the world and in people’s lives. We truly believe Jesus’ words, that it is better to give than to receive, and we want to be rich toward God, seek first the kingdom of God, and take hold of the life that is truly life.

This Year’s Goal: $24,000

Our goal is simple and compelling: raise $24,000 to invest in three incredible ministry partners doing kingdom work locally and globally.

Here’s what makes this year special: by focusing our giving on three partners instead of four, we’re able to nearly double what each ministry receives. When we hit our $24,000 goal, each partner will receive $8,000—almost twice what we could give last year when we spread it across four organizations.

We’re going deeper, not wider. We’re choosing to make a bigger impact in fewer places.

You’ll notice the Langley Food Bank isn’t included in this year’s Vision Fund—but don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten them! This year we’re supporting the Food Bank through our Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser walk in February, which allows us to rally our entire community around fighting food insecurity right here in Langley.

Our Three Ministry Partners:

100% of what you give will go to:

1. Hope for Women Pregnancy Centre – Empowering pregnant mothers in crisis with counseling, practical support, and hope throughout their pregnancy journey and beyond
2. House of Omeed – Welcoming refugees and newcomers to Canada with practical help, English classes, food support, and the life-changing hope of the gospel
3. TearFund Canada – Fighting extreme poverty worldwide and bringing sustainable transformation to the world’s most vulnerable communities

The Need Has Never Been Greater

With worldwide economic uncertainty, a tough job market, and inflation people are struggling. Yet the average Canadian still gives less than 1% of their income to charity.

In a world where generosity is not the norm, the church has an opportunity—and a calling—to be radically different.

When you give to The Vision Fund, you’re helping pregnant mothers choose life, welcoming the stranger as Christ commanded, and lifting people out of crushing poverty in Jesus’ name.

Who Should Give?

TO OUR CURRENT GIVERS:

First, thank you! Your faithfulness has been instrumental in helping us pursue our mission of leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our request to you is this: prayerfully consider making an above-and-beyond gift to bless our ministry partners this Christmas season.

Last year, you generously gave $22,000 to the Vision Fund, allowing us to give substantial gifts to our four ministry partners. This year, we’re asking you to help us reach $24,000 so we can nearly double the investment to $8000 for each of these three life-changing ministries!

IF YOU’RE NOT YET GIVING REGULARLY:

As Christians, we believe that developing the discipline of generosity is a critical component of discipleship. God owns everything, and therefore, everything we have is a gift. God has called us to faithfully steward what he has entrusted us with by giving him our first and our best.

Jesus isn’t after your money. He is after your heart. He wants your heart to be free of the love of money. The best way to do that is to decide on a percentage of your income and commit to giving it first, right off the top of your paycheck.

If you’re not yet giving regularly, this is a wonderful time to join the mission by setting up recurring giving to help fund ministry throughout 2026.

PS: We believe that Jesus calls us to sacrificial and cheerful giving, not equal giving. Whether it’s a one-time gift to the Vision Fund or recurring gifts to support Brookswood’s general ministry, $10 or $10,000—every gift matters.
