Women's Advent Devotional

In this 4-session Bible study, you’ll spend the weeks of Advent learning to celebrate the good news of great joy found in the Christmas story. With daily personal study, engaging activities to transform your study experience, and Christmas worship featuring Ellie Holcomb, this beautiful resource will help you delight in Jesus’s birth and joyfully anticipate His return this Christmas season and all year long.

Session 1: Sunday, Nov. 24 (time TBD)
Session 2-4: Wednesdays, Dec. 4, 11, 18, 10 am

Cost: $25 for the book – please note, we are ordering books Oct. 8, and you must register by Oct. 7 if you want us to order your book. if you register after Oct. 7, you just need to obtain your own copy of the book (available at House of James, Amazon, etc.), register before Session 1 (Nov. 24), and there are no additional fees for this study.

We will be meeting in the church coffee shop to share Christmas treats and discuss the devotional study together – the devotions themselves (5 short devotionals each week) and the videos are done between our gatherings so we can focus our time on fellowship, discussion, and prayer. Winter Bible Study: David: A Heart Like His

'Become a woman after God's own heart. If you've ever had doubts, fought temptations, battled personal inconsistencies, fallen into sin, suffered losses, or anguished over family problems, this Bible study is for you. Join us on an exciting and intimate journey to know King David, the man after God's own heart. David's life and times will cause us to have many responses, but boredom will likely not be one of them! He is sure to capture your interest, if you let him. And God is sure to change your heart, if you let Him.'We'll be pacing this 11-session so you have 2 weeks to do each 'week' of homework, with a couple breaks throughout the study, to make it very manageable and give us lots of time to study and grow. If you miss a session, the videos will be accessible online. If you want a safe space to study God's Word, have supportive and loving fellowship with your sisters in Christ, and have weekly space for prayer and discussion with others to help you in your walk with God, this is the place for you.The in-person study will meet Wednesdays at 9:30 am - 12:00 pm Wednesdays at Brookswood Church, Sept. 4 - Nov. 27. Fellowship & Coffee, and silent prayer in the sanctuary, are available 9:00-9:25 am.Registration will be available in December.
