Sean Horner, Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Community Outreach

Sean is a Jesus follower who desires to see others come to know and follow the person and way of Jesus. Sean has a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Simon Fraser University and a Master's of Divinity that he started at Talbot School of Theology in Los Angeles, and completed at ACTS Seminaries at Trinity Western University in Langley, BC. Sean is passionate about theological education for it's one's knowledge of God that fuels one's love for God, and one's love for God that empowers service to God.

The oldest of three siblings, Sean was born (to awesome parents) in Toronto, Ont. and raised in Abbotsford, B.C. (by those same awesome parents). Having led sports camps, summer camps, youth groups, and a variety of small groups, Sean enjoys working with people of all ages and helping them grow in their relationship with God.

Sean loves being a husband to his beautiful (and more organized) wife, Julie, and a Father to his two awesomesauce boys, Jude and Nash. He enjoys all things basketball, discussing theology with anyone who will listen, and binge watching TV series on Netflix. Sean is also fond of food, fun, and friends (preferably with food and fun involved...did I mention food and fun?!). He loves traveling, has lived in both Sweden and Los Angeles, and would like to take his wife to Italy one day.

Sean joined the team at Brookswood Baptist in June 2017 and is honored to serve as the Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Outreach. It's Sean's belief that all people matter to God that drives his desire to create biblically faithful churches that are on mission to reach people with the love of God and good news that in Jesus there is forgiveness of sins.
